AFTER THE ANTIQUE, A GRAND TOUR MARBLE BUST OF ANTINOUS ITALIAN, DATED 1860 28cm high, the base 9.5cm diameter This well-carved small marble bust is based on portraits of the Roman youth Antinous, Emperor Hadrian's young lover from Bithynia in Greece, who, following his premature death, was worshipped as a cult god.
