Authentic antique carved stone oil lamp from Afghanistan, middle ages. Weight: 4 lb. 6 oz. = 2 kg. Diameter: 9 inches = 23 cm. Material: hard stone- marble or alabaster.  Age: Presumably, it was carved several hundred years ago, as an oil lamp without hanging hook. Around 100-150 years later it was broken and fixed, by skillful artisan, with wires; and the new hook was attached to prevent another fall. Condition: Well preserved for the age. There is a repaired crack 20 cm long. The crack was repaired long time ago (several hundred years ago). Presumably, it was carved several hundred years ago, as an oil lamp without hanging hook.
