15th century A.D. Featuring a flat-section hoop with chevrons set with an openwork bezel formed of a winged angel holding a heart. Cf. many examples of this type of ring have been recorded in the Portable Antiquities Scheme database, WILT-2C75F1, SUR-1590E9, IOW-0C8243, GLO-973026, IOW-2E6B43, IOWB20064, NLM-8C14E1 and SOMDOR-D9E932; another example can be found in the National Museum of Wales, item number 2012.31H. 3.62 grams, 19.65 mm overall, 17.20 mm internal diameter (approximate size British L 1/2, USA 6, Europe 11.87, Japan 11) (3/4 in.).
