AD 198-217. IMP CAE M AVR ANT AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust to right / DIANAE [C]-REM, Diana standing facing, head to left, holding patera and spear; to right, stag. Von Aulock Pisidiens II, 1320 (Elagabalus; DIANAF). According to Strabo (12.569), Kremna and the other cities of Pisidia were initially captured by Amyntas, the commander of the Galatian auxiliary army of Brutus and Cassius, who was proclaimed king of Galatia and Pisidia. Octavian allowed him to remain king until his death in 25 B.C., after which Cremna (Mon.Anc. 28; Strabo 12.569) was converted into a Roman colony (Colonia Iulia Augusta [Felix] Cremnena, CIL III, 6873). 7.18gr, 25mm, 6h.
