[TI??A], bare, bearded head of Tissaphernes to right / ??????, facing cult statue of Artemis Astyrene, wearing polos and with fillets hanging from wrists; to upper right, vertical club. Klein 253; SNG Arikantürk 331-61; SNG BnF 124A. Astyra was a small town of Mysia, in the plain of Thebes, between Antandros and Adramyteion. It had a temple of Artemis, of which the Antandrii had the superintendence, and Artemis had hence the name of ??????? ???????? (Artemis Astyrene), as it appears on our coin. 1.52gr, 11mm, 8h.
