A townscape and its ghats, Pahari school, North India, circa 1800, Opaque pigments on paper, on a river banks, devotees and ascetics performing ablutions, a group sat near a tall lone tree, and a figure drawing water, within a single thin black rule, narrow red margins, plain reverse, mounted, 22.8 x 28.5cm. Provenance: Property from the private collection of John Acton (1932-2017) acquired in India in the 1960s
