An illuminated album page : Krishna and Radha under a tree on a river bank, Possibly Bikaner, Rajasthan, North India, late 18th century, Opaque pigments and silver heightened with gold on paper, the haloed light blue skinned deity holding a garland and extending his right hand towards his beloved, she holding a bowl of flower buds, foothills and a white pavilion in the distance, laid on card between to registers of bold gold leaves and within wide buff margins with an elegant swaying leaved tendril, ruled in black, gold and white, wide silver speckled borders ruled in red, the reverse inscribed in blue ink no 9, modern framing instructions in black, short illegible inscription in pencil to lower left corner, remnants of binding tape to left edge painting 18.4 x 12cm. ; folio 41 x 27.4cm.
