An engraved copper alloy lobed tray, Iran, 19th century or later, the central lobed medallion inhabited by a lion pouncing on an ox, four smaller such medallions around it, two with seated figures and two with felines and their preys, all amidst dense scrolling foliated decoration, the narrow cavetto with a swaying vine the flat rim with floral tendrils within lobed cartouches, 24.4cm. across
