An engraved copper alloy mounted blue and white globular ewer, Zand Iran and Armenia, 18th and 19th century, On short straight foot, the decoration consisting of large blooms amidst scrolling tendrils bearing simplified leaves, the facetted spout with strpworks, the mount with large rising palmettes interspersed with drop shaped medallions engraved with rosettes, inscription in Armenian script 11.5cm. Provenance: Private London collection formed in the 1950-60s and thence by descent
