An openwork black, blue and white pottery bowl, possibly Kirman, Iran, 18th century, On short straight foot, the high and steep cavetto with simplified vegetal motifs beneath an arcade, a register with repeating quatrefoils interspersed with three cartouches filled with similar decoration, the base with pseudo Chinese mark in black, losses, 19.4cm. diam. Provenance: Private London collection formed in the 1950-60s and thence by descent
