A pottery ewer, Possibly Kutahaya, 20th century, On short foot, the globular body rising to sloping shoulders and waisted neck, the painted decoration consisting of bold flowers borne by a scrolling tendrils, wide register of simplified leaves outlined in black against dark green above and below, the neck with hanging stylised palmettes, the mouth with similar decoration tot he body, two registers of black and blue strokes below, 33cm. high
