A mother of pearl, tortoise shell inlaid casket, Ottoman Turkey or provinces, 18th/19th century, On four button feet, of rectangular form on raised feet with hinged raised and sloped lid, the top with a a central cusped cartouche containing and elaborate quatrefoil, the sides chequered, the back with an iteration of lozenges, the inner with a small rectangular compartment, the whole clad in red velvet with gilt piping, with key, 31 x 48.5 x 30cm.
