Two Kutahya pottery dishes, Turkey, 20th century, Each shallow, on short straight foot, the cobalt blue, turquoise blue, green, manganese and bole red painted decoration consisting of a large central medallion bordered with palmettes and inscribed mashallah, the wide and near flat cavetto with elaborate leaved tendrils bearing large lotus flowers picked in red, the lip with merlon-like cusped and pointed palmettes, on white ground 31.5cm. and 32cm. diam.
