A hanging openwork copper alloy mounted pottery lamp, the body Kutahya, Ottoman Turkey, second half 19th century, the mounts, possibly Turkey or Iran, later, In the style of a mosque lamp, the body possibly a former pyriform bottle or vase, the painted decoration consisting of swaying leaves interspersed with simplified floral sprays, the mounts cursorily pierced with animals within lobed cartouches amidst vegetation, a register with scrolling tendril above and below, with suspension chain adorned with coloured glass flat beads, 25.2cm. high
