A JAPANESE SATSUMA KORO AND COVER, MEIJI/TAISHO PERIOD (1868-1926) the hexagonally-facetted earthenware baluster body rising from six cloud shaped feet to a short neck and everted rim, finely enamelled and gilt to each face with a panel enclosing Rakan, the shoulder with a flower-filled lappet band divided by square handles, the domed cover surmounted by a finial in the form of a boy banging a drum, 35cm high
