A RARE PAIR OF JAPANESE KAKIEMON SAKE EWERS, 19TH/20TH CENTURY each of rectangular shape with high arched handle and channelled spout, decorated in the typical palette of yellow, blue, green, black and iron red enamels and underglaze blue, to one side with chrysanthemum issuing from a brushwood fence and to the other with peony issuing from a brushwood fence, the handle, spout and top decorated with floral strapwork, the cylindrical cover in the form of a chrysanthemum flower head, 22cm wide
