A long scroll of supplication (ziyarat) prayers, produced for Mirza Hussayn, signed Muhammad Hassan of the Hajilo tribe Qajar Iran, dated 11 Rabi' II AH1315/9 September 1897 On thin coated textile, 220ll. of black naskh interlined in red, bordered in gold ruled in red and blue, polychrome headpiece with quatrefoil amidst dens floral decoration within a gold cupola, a smaller blue cupola with gold strapwork below, a rectangular panel with the bismillah within a gold lobed cartouche, flanked with interlocked floral tendrils, the whole bordered in white strapwork against deep red field, the text panel clean 282 x 9.5cm.
