A Safavid illuminated bifolio, Northwest Persia, 17th century, Persian manuscript on paper, 7ll. of black naskh verging on nasta'liq to the page arranged on a gold ground, with polychrome decoration predominantly in gold, blue, black and red, half-lozenges at either side and at corners, cupsed outer band, headings panel blank above and below, verso with folio of text Folio 25.2 x 28cm.
