TO BE SOLD WITH NO RESERVE A Qajar marriage certificate, Iran, dated 6 Jamadi ul-Thani 1307 AH / 27 January 1890 AD, Persian and Arabic manuscript on paper, blue, red, and yellow pigments, the whole heightened with gold, lobed cartouches and gold foliate scrolling tendrils, the Arabic words written in naskh script, the Persian in shikasteh nasta’liq script, the heading opening with the bismillah within a rectangular red cartouche, the text panel margined with three roundels containing pointed arches, mounted, framed and glazed, The contract 70.5cm x 50cm., 75.5cm x 55cm. framed.
