A calligraphic panel by Mir' Imad, Safavid Iran, circa 1600 Persian manuscript on gold, with 5ll. of diagonal black nasta'liq script on a gold ground decorated with floral sprays in orange and blue, with panels of horizontal nasta'liq above and below and to the left side alternating with panels containing a gold cartouche on a blu ground, the outer border decorated with birds amidst foliage, panel 26 x 24.2cm; folio 38 x 24cm.
