A CHINESE JADE INSET BURR WOOD BOX AND COVER, QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY the rectangular box inset to the cover with a pale celadon jade roundel carved and pierced with Shuang Xi (Double Happiness) characters encircled by dragons and a bat, 27.5 by 21 by 7cm. Footnote: the Shuang Xi jade plaque may indicate that the box was for a wedding gift.
