QING QIANLONG BLUE AND WHITE GOURD VASE

Dimensions: Length: 30 cm, Width: 30 cm, Height: 44.7 cm Chinese Dynasty Qianlong Blue and White Porcelain Gourd Bottle. Potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, cylindrical neck, raised on short ring foot base and slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color, depicted of flower bloom interspersed foliage and gourd bottle. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
