Measurements: Width: 37 cm, Height: 53 cm Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Blue and White Yellow Glazed Porcelain Amphora Vase. Potted in a amphora shaped vase, thick and large, globular body, slighty oval body, rounded shoulder concealing gracefully to a prominent straight cylindrical neck, with wide flaring open lip, two ring handles emerging and flanked on the shoulder, raised with short splayed foot base rim. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in yellow base color which contrast against blue color depicted of abundant peony blossom interspersed foliage. The Chinese name for Peony even translates to most beautiful. The Peony?s thick ruffled blooms and ability to return spring after spring for 100 years. The Peony is mainly known for honour to their entire family through success, Wealth and riches, Romance and romantic love, It symbolizes wealth and honour in the sense of high rank, having an official position, or high social status.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark.
