Measurements: Height: 19.3 cm, Diam.: 16 cm Chinese Ming Dynasty WanLi Yellow & Green Dragon Motif Porcelain Lidded Jar. This porcelain has an round open mouth with a slightly out-turned lip, short neck with reverse bowl flat dome lid, leads to a convex bulging mid belly, globular oval body, raised on the ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in yellow base color which contrast against green fine color, depicted of imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing, glossy quality. Which attracting unceasingly admiration.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed script characters reign mark. Made in The Years WanLi Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
