Dimensions: Length: 37.2 cm, Width: 37.2 cm, Height: 4.5 cm Chinese Qing Dynasty Yongzheng Blue and White Underglaze Red Carps Porcelain Plate. The plate has a broad wide central interior, rounded mouth lip, thick and large, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue and red color, depicted of carps swim through water plants flower bloom above thrashing Lishui waves. The Carp Similar sounding to the word Business in Chinese, the carp symbolizes a wish for benefit or advantage in business, and accepted to represent longevity, wealth, abundance, and perseverance. The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue ring lines. Made in The Years Yongzheng Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
