Dimensions: Length: 14.5 cm, Width: 12.3 cm, Height: 28 cm Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Famille Rose Porcelain Double Ear Zun Vase. Potted in a Zun shaped vase, thick and large, globular square body, rounded shoulder concealing gracefully to a prominent straight cylindrical neck with two ribbon handles emerging and flanked on it, raised with short splayed foot base rim and slightly concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in pastel base color which contrast against famille rose design color, depicted of abundant lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind.The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
