This stately Hetian jade display piece features a central pointed gui-shaped slab engraved with subtle antique motifs and faint inscribed detailing, set against a circular jade backdrop. Natural russet skin is masterfully retained to carve curling openwork chilong dragons winding around the circular plaque, generating striking warm-brown tonal contrasts against pale celadon jade tones. The jade assembly sits securely atop an elaborately sculpted dark hardwood stand adorned with flowing wave and scroll carvings. Measuring 19 cm in length, 8 cm in width and 37 cm in overall height, the ornament weighs 1560 g.
