Fashioned from fine pale Hetian jade with a silky lustrous polish, this moon-flask vessel comes with a matching fitted lid topped by a compact knob. Symmetrical fret-patterned openwork handles adorn the slender neck, while the flattened circular main body bears subtle low-relief carvings of serene mountain scenery, pine branches and a meditating scholar amid drifting cloud motifs. It stands steadily on a neatly shaped rectangular foot. Measuring 15.5 cm long, 4 cm wide and 28 cm tall with a weight of 590 g, the vase features homogeneous soft jade tone and immaculate carving details.
