Measurements: Length: 29 cm, Width: 14.7 cm, Height: 38.3 cm Chinese Famille Rose Shou Porcelain Moon Flat Vase. The porcelain potted in moon vase, flat globular moon lower belly, emerging tendril flanked on the straight cylindrical neck, round mouth rim, raised on ellipse foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against famille rose design color, depicted of shou Chinese calligraphy character surrounded with flower bloom petals, auspicious ornament and flying Fu bats. Shou motif which symbolized longevity, three of the most important goals in life in Chinese traditional thought are the propitious blessings of happiness, professional success or prosperity, and longevity. Longevity is commonly recognized as one of the Five Blessings - longevity, wealth, health, love of virtue, a peaceful death of Chinese belief.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
