Measurements: Length: 22.7 cm, Width: 11.5 cm, Height: 31.5 cm Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Doucai Lotus Porcelain Flat Vase. Potted in moon vase, thick and tall, globular moon lower belly, straight cylindrical neck, round slight flaring mouth rim, raised on ring foot base with slight concave footing. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in soft green base color which contrast against DouCai design color depicted of abundant lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
