Standing 19.5 cm in height with a width of 12.5 cm, this splendid gilt bronze bodhisattva rests in graceful lotus posture upon a multi-tiered lotus pedestal decorated with plump, neatly moulded petals and fine engraved border patterns. The ornate crown, elaborate earrings and layered body jewellery are vividly inlaid with vibrant red and turquoise gemstones. Twin blossoming foliate stems rise behind both shoulders as iconic symbolic attributes, while one hand lowers in a gesture of blessing and the other curves gently at the chest. Lustrous gilding accentuates intricate drapery folds and serene facial detailing. Faithful to traditional Tibetan Buddhist iconography, this masterfully crafted statue is a premium acquisition for refined collections of devotional gilt bronze sculptures.
