A finely potted Chinese porcelain bowl exquisitely decorated in the famille rose palette against a striking black enamel ground densely filled with scrolling green vines. Large stylized lotus blossoms and chrysanthemums in shades of coral pink, blue, ivory, and yellow are interwoven with graceful leafy tendrils, creating a richly ornamented continuous floral design. The white-glazed interior provides an elegant contrast to the elaborate exterior decoration.The underside is similarly decorated with the continuous floral scroll surrounding the recessed foot and bears a finely written iron-red six-character seal mark reading Made during the Qianlong reign of the Great Qing. The mark is likely apocryphal, reflecting the enduring prestige of Qianlong imperial porcelains rather than the actual date of manufacture.The vibrant combination of the black ground, colorful famille rose enamels, and luxuriant floral arabesques exemplifies the decorative style inspired by eighteenth-century imperial wares and widely admired by later collectors.Probably late Qing dynasty to Republic period, late 19th to early 20th century, bearing a Qianlong seal mark.
