Dimensions: 18"H x 13"W Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Famille Rose Hundred Deer Porcelain Double Ear Zun Vase. Potted in a Zun shaped vase, thick and large, a drum abdomen, a pair of archaic dragon handles called ears flanked on short cylindrical neck, and raised on round foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against famille rose design color, depicted of hundred deers on the forest surrounded with dense tree, rocky rock, cliff and mountain. The Hundred Deer design is symbolizes immortality and is the companion of Shoulao, the God of Longevity, a wish for great wealth and success. The deer symbolizes immortality and is the companion of Shoulao, the God of Longevity, while the inclusion of peaches and lingzhi fungus in the decoration is often a further symbolic of longevity. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
