Standing 9.5 cm high, 11 cm across and weighing 708 grams, this stately zun-shaped censer is cast from aged bronze cloaked in warm, naturally developed patina. Its flared rim transitions down to a gently tapering bowl resting upon a neatly moulded circular foot. A raised decorative band encircles the upper body, embossed with repeating floral quatrefoils interspersed with tiny dot motifs. Projecting symmetrically from the band are detailed sculpted lion-head handles with crisp facial textures. With balanced classical proportions and well-preserved casting details, this timeless incense vessel is an elegant acquisition for serious collections of antique Chinese bronze ritual wares.
