拍品描述
Measuring 12.5 cm long, 8.5 cm wide and 16 cm tall overall, this archaistic ritual ding is masterfully carved from Hetian jade displaying natural russet patina across its squared body alongside muted celadon hues on upright handles and sturdy legs. Boldly rendered taotie beast masks dominate the main panels, flanked by finely incised scrollwork and raised edge flanges that echo ancient bronze decorative traditions. A pierced hardwood lid with an ornamental finial facilitates incense ventilation, and the jade vessel rests securely upon a polished fitted wooden plinth. Merging meticulous jade carving with classical ceremonial motifs, this exceptional censer is a standout acquisition for distinguished collections of Chinese archaistic hardstone ritual wares.
