This elegantly proportioned square censer is finely cast from warm-toned bronze with naturally mottled aged patina across its smooth exterior. Symmetric flat loop handles extend from both sides of the vessel body. It is topped by a pierced dark hardwood lid carved with openwork floral patterns for smoke release, crowned with a delicate animal-shaped finial. The entire bronze furnace rests on an ornate fitted hardwood stand adorned with scrolling cut-out carvings along its lower apron. Measuring 14 x 7.7 x 7 cm with an overall height of 14 cm and weighing 809 grams, it exhibits balanced proportions and refined metalwork. Its harmonious dual hardwood fittings make it a sophisticated choice for distinguished collections of antique incense ware.
