PROVENANCE: From Bellefonte, Delaware Private Collector. Dimensions: Height: :15?Diam.21.7 Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue and White Pakua Porcelain Incense Burner. The porcelain potted in shallow vessel form, large thick and deep, globular body, open wide mouth rim, with a thick and straight open lip, raised with short three elephant legs. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of Pakua trigram on the mid belly banded with scrolling ruyi, flowers bloom and auspicious pattern. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
