Measuring 97 x 235 cm, this tall vertical brocade integrates a top rectangular panel filled with neatly arranged golden Buddhist inscriptions against a deep navy backdrop. Beneath the script section, three principal Buddhas with distinct mandorlas sit solemnly on elaborate tiered thrones amid layered pastel cloud scrolls, flanked by revered attendant figures. Vigorous guardian deities occupy the lower cloud-wreathed zones, showcasing richly detailed armour and ceremonial regalia. An ornate repeating geometric-floral border frames the entire woven panel. Luxurious silk threads yield nuanced colour depth throughout drapery and celestial scenery. Adhering to canonical Buddhist iconography, it is an exceptional centrepiece for premium collections of Chinese sacred narrative textiles.
