A PAIR OF YELLOW SILK EMBROIDERED PANELS, QING DYNASTY China, 1644-1912. Each of rectangular form, finely embroidered in polychrome threads on a vibrant yellow silk ground, the center with flowering branches of roses and chrysanthemums visited by butterflies, enclosed by a shaped border of flowers, leafy tendrils, and further butterflies. The embroidery is delicately worked in bright tones of pink, blue, green, and white. Dimensions: Size 73 x 61 cm
