A PALE CELADON ‘AUSPICIOUS FLOWERS’ PORCELAIN BOWL, 1900s China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The bowl with deep walls, finely decorated in relief to the exterior with floral sprays of peonies, lotus, prunus, chrysanthemums, peach, pomegranate, persimmon, and other auspicious flowers, the bowl overall covered in a pale celadon glaze pooling in recesses and with crackles in the well, the recessed base covered in a crackled cream glaze and with an apocryphal six-character Yongzheng mark in underglaze blue.
