A FAMILLE ROSE BALUSTER PORCELAIN VASE WITH A LANDSCAPE, MID-20TH CENTURY China. Of baluster form, raised on a short spreading foot and rising to tall neck surmounted by a galleried rim, the body painted with a mountainous landscape dotted with trees and craggy rocks, a few pavilions nestled in the shore, all between a band of ruyi heads and geometric motifs. The foot and shoulder decorated with a band of lotus in scrolling foliage, against turquoise ground. The neck with blossoming flowers borne on scrolling vines, between foliate bands, and against a pink ground. The recessed base with a red-enameled seal 'Jingdezhen zhi'. Inscriptions: Inscribed with a poem to the side, ‘The pavilions with pine and wind were in the twilight / Clouds and mountains on all sides catch the light of the water. / The sun sets on Jindu and the guests are in a hurry to return home, / So they don't have time to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
