A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN ‘LOTUS POND’ BOWL China, Republic period (1949-1912). The deep rounded sides rising from a ring foot to a slightly flaring rim, the interior decorated in underglaze blue with a central lotus pond with two ducks, surrounded by a band of lotus and peony borne on leafy stems, and a stylized floral band below the rim, the exterior painted with a further lotus scroll band above a band of lappets, the underside bearing an apocryphal Kangxi six-character reign mark within a double circle. Dimensions: Height 8.5 cm, diameter 8.5 cm
