A FAMILLE-VERTE ENAMELED PORCELAIN GUGGLET FOR THE ISLAMIC MARKET China, late Qing dynasty, 19th century. Of pear-shaped form, rising from a short foot to a waisted neck with a bulbous mid-section, flaring towards the rim, painted in famille verte enamels with large petal panels enclosing scrolling flowers, surrounded by scattered floral sprays in blue, iron-red, yellow, and green. The shoulder with a stippled band enclosing blossoms, the knop decorated with flowers on a pale turquoise cracked-ice ground, all between dotted borders and further floral bands.
