A LONGQUAN CELADON-GLAZED STONEWARE ‘LOTUS LEAF’ BOWL, QING DYNASTY China, 1644-1912. Thickly potted, with deep, gently rounded sides resting on a short, straight foot. The exterior is incised with vertical lines encircling the body and a continuous wave-like band around the rim, while the interior is carved with a large lotus leaf motif. The vessel is entirely covered in a finely crackled celadon glaze, which stops short of the foot, revealing the warm, earthen tone of the ceramic body beneath. Dimensions: Diameter 14.1 cm
