A FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN WATER POT, QIANLONG MARK AND PERIOD China, 1736-1795. The small water pot with a compressed lobed globular body, supported on a shaped apron with four small feet and rising to a lobed mouth, finely painted in famille rose enamels with four oval medallions enclosing mountainous river landscapes, flowering trees, pavilions, and distant peaks. The panels are reserved on a rich brown ground decorated with delicate gilt floral scrolls, the interior covered in a pale turquoise glaze. The underside with a Qianlong reign mark in gilt and of the period. Dimensions: Height 4 cm
