A SANCAI-GLAZED FUNERARY MODEL OF A HOUSE, MING DYNASTY China, 1368-1644. Of rectangular form, the architectural model fashioned as a single-storey house raised on a flat base, the front facade with an amber-yellow glazed door, flanked by barred windows, below a sloping ribbed roof. The exterior walls and roof tiles are covered in a green glaze pooling irregularly and partly revealing the buff pottery body, the reverse left largely unglazed with incised striations.
