拍品描述

A PORCELAIN ‘SCHOLAR AND ATTENDANT’ SNUFF BOTTLE, REPUBLIC PERIOD China, 1912-1949. Of flattened form with a gently arched profile, rising from a rectangular foot to a cylindrical neck with a flat lip. The exterior finely painted in beautiful enamels, depicting on one side a bearded scholar dressed in flowing robes accompanied on the other side by a youthful attendant holding a lotus blossom. The sides further embellished with prunus blossoms, luxuriant pine branches, and bamboo leaves. The bottle fitted with a coral stopper carved in the form of a rose in full bloom. Stopper: Coral stopper, carved spoon Dimensions: Height 63 mm (incl. stopper), Diameter 10 mm (neck) and 6 mm (mouth)
