A FAMILLE ROSE MOLDED PORCELAIN ‘ZHONG KUI’ SNUFF BOTTLE, 19TH CENTURY China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The ovoid body supported on an oval foot and rising to a short cylindrical neck, molded and painted in bright enamels with two manifestations of Zhong Kui, one as the Demon Queller wielding his sword to defeat a demon, the other as a scholar on horseback, all below clouds; the neck with key-fret border and the base with an apocryphal iron-red four-character Qianlong Reign mark.
