A CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL ‘LOTUS’ SNUFF BOTTLE China, Republic period (1912-1949) or later. Of globular form, rising from a short spreading foot to a waisted cylindrical neck. The copper body decorated with enamels and gilt wire, depicting on each side a large pink lotus blossom issuing from broad green leaves amid scrolling foliage. The neck encircled by stylized cloud motifs, and the shoulder and foot with decorative border bands. Stopper: Matching cloisonné enamel stopper, gilt-metal spoon Dimensions: Height 66 mm (incl. stopper), Diameter 21 mm (neck) and 15 mm (mouth)
