A FILIGREE GILT-METAL SNUFF BOTTLE WITH HARDSTONE AND GLASS INLAYS China, Republic period (1912-1949) or later. Of double-gourd form, raised on a recessed oval foot and rising to a narrow cylindrical neck. The gilt-metal body richly decorated with intricate filigree scrollwork and floral motifs, inset throughout with cabochon hardstones and colored glass, including orange-red stones likely carnelian or agate and turquoise stones.
